| To me a first editorial feels like handing a newborn baby to the reader and asking "isn't she cute?". This baby took over a year from conception to birth. It took professors, advisors, instructors and overburdened undergrads. It took contributors and family and friends and roommates. It has been one of the immense achievements of my twenty-four years. I hope this baby's "cuteness" will be evident, that it will secure your appreciation if not admiration of its own accord. So instead of attempting to praise, summarize, explain or give a behind the scenes expose on emic I would like to take this space to formally thank all those who's help has been indispensable. Special thanks to Professor Christopher Merrill. Thanks to Miguel Soria, Maria Nazos, and Evan Miller, who, despite the cliche, I couldn't have done it without. Thanks to all those who helped, contributed to or put up with this process. Thanks to you, reader.          Isn't she cute? | First Editorial
